Our client is a leader in the provision of consulting services to a broad portfolio of clients. As part of their growth strategy they are now looking to appoint a key individual in their highways business stream.
The Ideal Candidate
• Leadership skills and ability to inspire staff
• Proven track record in the management of a successful business
• Proven ability to establish and maintain profitable relationships with key clients
• Lead business development strategy for Highways
• Working with the Business Development Manager, Business Managers and bid support team.
• Leadership in the training, mentoring and development of staff.
• Must be Chartered or Equivalent
• Must be prepared to travel and work away from home
• Able to lead and inspire excellence in business performance
• Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels within the business
Responsibilities
• Prepare business plan for the team to achieve growth, turnover and profit targets.
• Developing and managing financial forecast for short, medium and long term business performance
• Provide direction and leadership to deliver growth through existing and new business opportunities
• Liaise with the Director, Business Managers, and Technical Directors.
• Develop, maintain and own client relationships to raise brand awareness.
• Work collaboratively with other Associate Directors to develop and deliver excellence in business.
• Provide direction and leadership to deliver planned growth, recruitment, training and mentoring.
• Lead the development and implementation of a continuous improvement process.
• Providing direction and support during the bidding process, including resource management.
• Leading successful delivery of all contract commitments to technical quality, budget and programme.
• Lead management team in delivering strategic change and organisational development.
• Attend Senior Management meetings reporting on the business performance.
• Fulfilling all duties required of a Senior Manager with respect to statute, safety and quality.
• Undertake regional management responsibilities as directed
