Our client is a global provider of engineering, design, and manufacture for seat comfort, driver and motion control systems, fluid assemblies, and industrial driver interface products.

Their product line includes systems for seat comfort, clutch actuation, cable actuation, gear shifters, transmission control systems, stabilizing rods, couplings, electronic engine controls, speciality hoses, tubes and fittings. They target the automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial markets.

The role

Proactively control the performance of suppliers and secure continuos improvements throughout the entire supplier base. Manage a direct team of 14 people in Europe at different locations. Develop and coordinate the supplier quality resources and utilize their competence to secure continuous improvements in the quality performance from the supplier base. Activly support the commodity purchasing organization with the selection of new and assessments of existing suppliers.

Areas of responsibility

• Direct responsibility for the project (APQP) and commodity supplier quality resources within Europe.
• Functional responsibility for plant SQA resources.
• Responsible for the regional supplier quality performance.
• Asign resources to specific requested tasks to fullfill the agreed targets.
• To train and coach supplier quality resources within the region.
• Evaluate suppliers quality performance and responsible in the sourcing process for supplier selection
• Member of the global supplier quality management team.

Personal tasks

• Report to the global SQD Director on a monthly basis or when major issues occur.
• Supervise claim handling process.
• Plan, implement and follow up the proactive supplier audits (Quality management system)
• Support the operational managers and plant SQA organization in issues related to quality
• Contribute to the development of systems and procedures within the supplier quality area.
• Initiate and drive supplier days and meetings on regional level.
• Participate in meetings and assure supplier selection in respect of SQ performance
• Close cooperation with the regional Quality organization.
