Our client is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical and management services. They have a significant and growing role in supporting their utility clients in thermal, nuclear and renewable power generation and electricity distribution in the UK and overseas, comprising asset improvement, environmental upgrade and new build projects.

We are looking for a leading name in the renewables sector to cement their existing expertise in delivering wind and hydro power projects to key clients and driving the growth of their business in this sector
Your role will be to grow our portfolio of renewables projects, in particular wind generation and hydro. Significant engagement will be essential to develop strong relationships with client senior managers, regulators and other stakeholders. The role includes overall responsibility for a programme of projects across the sector. Managing and taking ownership of all aspects of delivery from inception to completion, to deliver client delight and achieve or improve upon set objectives of time, cost and specification. The role also requires ensuring that all delivery teams adhere to the Client and Company requirements and the Company’s policies and processes.

The Ideal Candidate
Demonstrable excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite. The ability to communicate at all levels is required as is the ability to present project strategy and complex project issues in a simple, clear and concise manner. Clear leadership and negotiating skills are also essential.
Considerable experience in the renewables sector with a demonstrable knowledge of the sector including the commercial drivers and key influencers.
You will also have proven experience running multi-disciplinary projects in the sector through engineering and delivery phases, with a demonstrable track record of delivering results, managing people, and project finances and reporting of progress to peers. You will be able to motivate, co-ordinate and mentor and develop your people and resources to deliver projects to the delight of stakeholders.
